Villainous Barnaby is determined to marry sweet Mary Quite Contrary—if not with money, then by threatening her mother, the poor Widow Piper. But Mary loves Barnaby’s nephew, Alan. When Barnaby tries to have Alan eliminated, the plan fails, and Alan returns to Mother Goose Land to great celebration. Mary escapes to the magical Toyland, pursued by Barnaby and the rest of the Mother Goose gang. There, they encounter the whimsical Toymaker and his quirky helpers in a charming musical adventure that’s perfect for audiences all year round.
