UpStage Artists believes the community is very important in Community Theater. We try to do several fundraisers each season for different charitable organizations. Here is a list of charities we have raised money for
Hopeworks of Howard County - $200.00
Beltsville Community Cats - $200.00
The Beltsville Volunteer Fire Department - $800.00
Reading Partners of Baltimore - $300
Emmanuel Food Bank - $1280
We have also provided food for Emmanuel United Methodist Church's Christmas Morning breakfast for those who didn't have family locally and didn't want to spend Christmas morning alone, soup for their Valentines Soup drive for shut-in members and various other items.
We provided free copies of the book The Wizard of Oz to children involved in our production of "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" as well as several children in their audiences.
We have performed free shows for Riderwood Community Home residents as well.
Remember, without COMMUNITY there is no COMMUNITY THEATER!
